The Tahawus Club’s proximity to the High Peaks Wilderness, historic Adirondack sites and the town of Newcomb offer even more fun things to do:

  • The Upper Works Trailhead is the southern access point to High Peaks Wilderness hiking trails. (10 miles from the Club)
  • Other great hiking options abound near the Tahawus Club, too.
  • Santanoni Preserve – Hike, bike, or take a horse-drawn carriage to this extraordinary 19th century Adirondack Great Camp. (7 miles from the Club)
  • The Adirondack Interpretive Center, a fantastic resource for local history and learning about nature, the AIC serves thousands of visitors, area residents and program participants every year. (8 miles from the Club)
  • High Peaks Golf Course – A 9-hole course with incredible views of the High Peaks. (4 miles from the Club)
